Assistant Serologist

Lorne is an established manufacturer of blood banking

reagents registered to ISO9001, ISO13485 and is fully

CE marked. Lorne is based in Lower Earley, Reading

close to both junctions 10 and 11 of the M4.

We are looking for a well motivated, enthusiastic

individual to assist our Blood Group Serologist.

The post offers an exciting opportunity to play a key

role within the organisation.

Ideally educated to degree level (in Biomedical or

biological sciences) or equivalent, you do not need to

be a state registered blood group serologist but must

have a successful track record in the potency testing

of blood group reagents, be familiar with the use of

Diamed and Ortho gel cards, microtitre plates and

avidity testing on slides. Proven experience in the

detection of irregular blood group antibodies will

be a distinct advantage.

The post is full time 35 hours per week.

The annual salary is between £20-23,000.
